Sydney's mom came home one day to find Sydney's room a mess and her bed not made. She got mad and started yelling at Sydney for it.
Sydney got upset that her mom was yelling at her about her room so she ran outside crying and sat on her step. She could hear her mom still yelling at her from in the house. She didn't notice that she wasn't alone until he said something to her.
"Hey are you okay?" he said. Sydney looked at him with surprise as tears rolled down her face. "My name is Matt, what's your's?" Sydney thought he looked really nice and told him "Sydney". He looked around and took a step towards her and asked "Do you want to go on a drive? It usually helps me calm down when I'm upset."
Sydney thought about her Mom yelling at her before climbing into the van with Matt. She would've shunned me doing this she thought. Sydney got happy that her Mom would be worried about her and as her and Matt drove around she learned more about him. They started turning down roads she didn't know and she was getting scared.
Sydney's Mom went outside to look for her and apologize for yelling at her and to help clean her room with her. She started calling Sydney's name when she didn't see her at first. She started to panick because they didn't live in the best neighborhood. She realized that her daughter was gone and that she couldnt find her.
Matt carried Sydney into his house and into his basement. He locked the door on the way down and set her on the broken down, stained bed. She was crying again by then and was saying that she wanted her mom. He was looking down at her she while she was crying and started laughing. "There's no way out now Sydney" he said laughing.
