  • Keller Keller come in quick! H-Helen cant hear me or see me, my poor baby!
  • Kate whats wrong!
  • I know a doctor in Baltimore who can help her.
  • What are we going to do with her.
  • I'm going to write a letter to Perkins Institute .
  • Just send her to an asylum
  • Well, I'm not a teen.
  • How old are you?
  • You don't look very professional
  • There once was a little girl named Helen and she was apart of a very loving family. Helen's mother's name was Kate while her father's name was Captain Keller and her step brother's name was James. One day their whole lives changed, when Helen was only 19 months old Kate realized Helen couldn't see or hear. Ever since that day Kate, Keller, and Aunt Ev have tried to find someone that can take care of or "fix" Helen. Kate and Keller (especially Kate) have had a very hard time not being able to communicate with their daughter.
  • A few days later everyone was discussing what they should do to help Helen. Aunt Ev wanted to send a letter to a doctor she knew of in Baltimore, James just wanted to send her to an asylum. Finally they decided to send a letter to the Perkins Institute, so they waited for Annie to arrive and to maybe, finally get Helen to learn how to communicate.
  • D O L L doll, it has a name
  • After a few days of waiting James, Keller, and Kate went to the rain station to pick Annie up. When they first saw her they were all very skeptical because she was so young and did not have a lot of experience. Annie was doubted not only by them but by everyone, she even doubted herself. She has had a hard time in the past growing up in an asylum and having to deal with her brothers death. Kate and Keller decided to give her a chance so they left for the house to introduce Annie to Helen. After Annie got to the house, met Helen and unpacked all of her things she went to bed not knowing the Chaos that would go down the next morning .
  • Yes yes! water it has a name!
  • Wah wah
  • It's a miracle!
  • The next morning everyone sat down to eat breakfast, Helen was walking around the table feeling around grabbing any food she could find on a plate even if it wasn't hers. While she was doing so Annie was watching her with a sharp eye just waiting for Helen to get to her plate. Finally it happened, Helen tried to grab food from Annie plate but she wasn't really costume with someone putting their hands in her food so Annie held Helen's hand away and Helen wasn't very happy about that. Helen started kicking and hitting Annie trying to get her to let go. Kate and Keller were not happy about Annie's behavior but Annie told them to leave so she could teach Helen some manners. After a very long day of fighting Annie managed to teach Helen to eat off her plate, eat with a spoon, and fold her napkin. Annie knew that Helen wouldn't trust her anymore so she thought of a plan. Annie wanted to take Helen to the garden house alone so Helen could learn to tolerate her again and learn that things have a name without her parents pity in the way.
  • Annie begged Mr and Mrs Keller to let her take Helen to the garden house so she could teach her how to behave and to learn that thing have a name. Finally the Keller's agreed that Annie could have Helen for 2 weeks so Annie packed her and Helen's things and left. Days past at the garden house and Helen for once actually behaved but she still hadn't learned that things have a name. Before Annie knew it Kate and Keller were at the door waiting to take Helen away and that's exactly what they did. Annie really wanted Kate and Keller to give her more time but they refused to she packed up all of her thing again and left for the house to have supper.
  • While they were at the table Helen realized that she was with her parent now so she decided to test Annie and see what she could get away with. So Helen dropped her napkin on the floor, at first Annie thought it was on accident so she picked it back up for Helen but then Helen obviously on purpose dropped her napkin. Annie didn't like the way Helen was acting so she wanted to take Helen outside to discipline her but Kate and Keller didn't want her do but for once James actually stood up to his father and told him that he should let Annie do what she needs to and that he was wrong. Keller was surprised on how he stood up to him so they let Annie go outside with Helen. To discipline Helen Annie decided to get the water pitcher and have Helen fill it up. While Helen was filling up the pitcher Annie was splashing some water on her hand and this is when the miracle happened Helen said it she said wah wah. Helen finally realized that thing have a name , she was so exited to finally know this. Helen ran around outside feeling everything and having Annie spell it in her hand. Everyone was so happy that Helen could finally learn how to communicate, some people may say that Annie was a miracle worker.
