  • The Dust Bowl was an environmental that destroyed topsoil from the largely agriculture Midwestern United States. Farming practices, along with severe drought, caused the Dust Bowl victims lost their farms.

  • The Dust Bowl primarily affected the American Great Plains regions , most notably the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

  • The Dust Bowl had a major ripple effects on the Great Depression. Farmers already suffered from low farm prices and overall poverty. Farmers saw a lose in productivity. This coupled with major crop failures of the Dust Bowl.
