  • I'm so glad we're done with taxes.
  • I know right, the tax on tea was ridiculous. Good thing we threw it into the harbor.
  • This is ridiculous, soldiers searching our homes, crazy taxes on imported goods, and no say. We should do something about this
  • I think we should continue to tax the colonists. This time it should be for imports of paper, paint, lead, glass, and tea.
  • Meanwhile, In parliament
  • That's a great idea, let's tax the colonists even though they have no say. Since you thought of it Charles we'll name it after you. Townshend Act
  • These colonists sure are upset about not having representation. They'll probably resist.
  • It doesn't matter if they resist. The parliament gave us soldiers the right to unwarranted searches and seizures
  • Looks like we're going to need an American Customs Board in order to collect these taxes. Boston is the perfect place to set up.
  • This is not right. We laws regarding the colonies should not be made without representation from said colonies. This is taxation without fair representation.
  • Creative Writing with John Dickinson
  • Time to write a series of essays known as the Letters From a Farmer, In Pennsyvlania, to show the public the dangerous precedent these taxes set and that if paid more taxes will come.
  • Taxation without fair representation just won't do. I'd like to give parliment a piece of my mind.
