The act was created so that the British colonist could not expand westward. King George did this so that the Indians would not feel threatened by the colonist. Soon the colonists go against King Georges rules. This act also created 4 new colonies. This act led to the American revolution because the Americans had just fought the French and Indian war to gain Ohio river valley
The Boston Massacre of 1770
Britain's debt had almost doubled from 80 million pounds to 130 million pounds. They had to figure out a way to get all that money so they started to tax everyone on paper. Everything that is printed or used on paper you would have to pay tax this was for everything such as ships papers, documents, newspapers etc, but books was one thing that was not being taxed.he people who were most affected by the Stamp Act were lawyers, ministers, printers, and merchants.

The Townshend Acts is when it required the colonist to provide quarters and supplies for the British troops in America. But, providing the supplies for the troops is what angered the colonist the most not so much letting them stay at there home. The colonist were also paying tax on lead, paper, tea, paint. In January of 1768 Massachusetts, Rode Island, and Connecticut decided to boycott British goods. The Townshend Act continued to push American colonist towards revolution.

The Boston massacre was a deadly riot that occurred on March 5 1770 on King Street in Boston. It started as a street brawl between American colonist and a lone British soldier. It quickly escalated to a chaotic bloody slaughter when the soldier started to fire his fire arm.
The Boston Tea party was a political protest on December 16 1773. American colonist were angry that Britain were imposing taxes on them without representation. Angry American colonist dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. This was the first major act of defiance against the British.
This act was a response to the Boston tea party. The acts taken upon were that those accused of crimes now had to go to England and had to be in a trial there. The port of Boston was going to be closed. This reduced their self-government. These acts sparked a new resistance thought the colonies.
