  • It's Paris 1880, a young women sits in her apartment while another young lady does the chores behind her. Madame Loisel is her name and she is a women in the middle class, Victorian area of France.     
  • Climax
  • THE NECKLACE! IT'S GONE!
  • Madame Loisel is burdened by the fact she is not rich like other women. usually women could get rich by marrying someone wealthy but she had married a clerk. He tries to give her fancy things but they do not satisfy her.  
  • Falling action 
  • Here is everything we have
  • Her husband presents her with an opportunity and she throws it aside because she does not have anything fancy to wear, so her husband must buy her a new dress. But she also must have jewels so she borrows them from her friend. Now she is fit to attend the party  
  • Resolution
  • WHAT?!
  • She dances the night away with men who adore her. Hours go buy and sooner then later it's four o'clock in the morning, so they take their leave. they get a carriage and when they get home the necklace she borrowed was gone.    
  • They use what they have plus they borrow money from everywhere they can to buy a new necklace for their friend. Once they returned the new necklace they have to spend years paying off their debt.
  • Ten years go buy and they finally paid off all their debt. Madame Loisel find that friend they borrowed the necklace from and tells her the truth, but it turned out the necklace was a fake all along.
