- Felix had only just sat down and wiped his foggy glasses when he saw the most unusual thing. There behold a whole carrot. You could only imagine the disbelief and surprise this brought him. In Felix's mind, this meant his parents were coming to take him home!
- chapter 4
- Felix is making his way to Mother Minka when he glimpsed out the window only to see books burning in big bonfires.
- chapter 5
- After being dragged to the kitchen by Mother Minka he is informed of the truth. The carrot was in fact not sent by his parents hence they weren't coming.
- chapter 6
- Felix escaped the orphanage quite easily and noticed in hopes of finding his parents.
- Felix is grabbed from behind by Mr Kopek and is told how everyone's gone, how all of them have been taken to the city including his parents...
- After Felix is on his way to the city he discovered this burning house and deceased owners he finds a little girl who is six years old and is named Zelda. He takes her under his wing.
