Want to share wine?
Montresor says that Fortunato has strongly insulted him. Then he goes on to say that he is planning his revenge. Montresor does not say what Fortunato has done or how he will get his revenge. He just makes it very clear that it is very unforgivable.
She is very mean to me!
Montresor gets Fortunato to come down into the catacombs to get the wine with him. Fortunato starts coughing so Montresor offers to turn back but Fortunato says no and they continue down into the catacombs.
When they get down to the wine cellar there was no wine at all, instead, there was a hole in the wall. Montresor begins his revenge by attaching her arms to shackles against the wall. Then he begins to seal the wall up with bricks.
Montresor continues to place the bricks and ignores Fortunato screams
I ran out of brown bricks
After Montresor has laid down all the bricks he gets up and walks away. The sound of Fortunato´s bells is still heard. Montresor has got his revenge.
