After the french and Indian War the British began to tighten control over its autonomous colonies where king George lll declared all lands west of the Appalachian Divide off-limits to colonial settlers.

The parliament had voted to repeal the stamp act in march 1766. But in the same day, Parliament passed the Declaratory Acts, asserting that the British government had free and total legislative power over the colonies, and the colonists got mad becauase they got taxed.

The intolerable acts was when the tea party had happend when it was all destroyed and the boston thugs didn't have the courage to say it was them so the house of parlimant helped issue the problem.

This was when the people who got rejected for their tea they where trying to sell they instead threw it in the water. Where they dressed up as Indians so they don't get blamed. thats why the intolerable act happened
