  • The first step in the election process is to announce to the public you are running for president. In this panel, it shows a candidate giving a speech to a crowd, announcing that he will be running for President of the United States.

  • The second step in the election process is the Primaries and Caucuses. In the Primaries and Caucuses, party delegates from each state go to the national convection. In this panel, it shows the different shades of gray people which represent the delegates from different states. On one side of the panel, it shows people voting for a candidate, on the other it shows the people attending the national convection.

  • The third step is the national convection. This is when each party holds a huge event where delegates from each state discuss and debate the candidates, listen to speeches and help create the party platform. Delegates cast their vote for the nominee that will run in the national election (shown in 2nd panel). In this panel, it shows the many supporters that attend the convection and shows the party leaders making speeches.

  • The fourth step in the election process is to campaign. Candidates advertise themselves to get voters to vote for them. In this panel, it shows how this candidate puts up billboards, posters, and signs to get voters to vote for him. Candidates also make speeches to the public and appear on commercials to advertise themselves.

  • The fifth step in the election process is the popular vote. This is when the people vote on election day. In this panel, it shows how people across the nation go to polls and select which candidate they want for the next president.
  • The last step is the electoral college. This panel describes the electoral college using an example from the 2016 election. Trump won the election even though Hilary won the popular vote. This is done since the electoral college makes a vote more valuable in a certain state. Since Trump won more votes in states where the electoral college counts a vote high, he won the election.
