Storyboard Text

  • Daedalus tells his son, Icarus, that he plans to escape the tower by making wings from wax and feathers.
  • Wings, so we can fly away from this terrible tower!
  • What are you making, Father?
  • Icarus and Daedalus are ready to fly away from the tower. Daedalus warns Icarus not to fly too high or too low.
  • Be careful, son!
  • OK, Father
  • Ignoring his father's warning, Icarus decides to fly higher
  • THIS IS SO FUN!!! What if I fly higher?
  • Icarus flies upwards and feels the wax that holds his wings together melt, as he is too close to the sun
  • AAAH!!
  • Daedalus sees Icarus falling into the sea and quickly realizes what happened
  • My son is GONE!!!
  • I will NEVER fly again!
  • After landing safely, Daedalus decides that he would never fly again after seeing Icarus fly too high and then die as a result
