  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between the French, who were allied with the Native Americans, and the British.
  • It was a war to decide which nation would control the Ohio River Valley.
  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan of Union, which proposed the first formal plan to create a unified government for the colonies. Eventually, the Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1763.
  • The treaty gave Britain the Ohio River Valley.
  • So I'm dead now, interesting fact.
  • Meanwhile, in France
  • After all of the events of the French and Indian War, the British signed the Proclamation of 1763, which prevented western expansion  in the colonies.
  • All in all, the events that occurred at the end of the French and Indian War made many citizens outraged, which is one of the main causes of the American Revolution.
