Mia, her friend Elisa, and her mom Debra went out to look for a wedding dress. They've been to this store before, but didn't know that the prices had changed.
Jimmy and his Mother went to the Candy Shop
Her friend Elisa notices a change in the price of the dress that Mia wanted to purchase. The dress now costs $11,000, because of it's increase. Elisa told them, and then they all tried to figure out the percent increase of the dress.
Jimmy and his Mom don't know which one is the best pack
Hi sir, do you have any Skittles in his shop?
Oh we do! But there are two different kinds. One of them is the original skittles, and the other is the tropical skittles. Which one would you like ?
They eventually found the difference, and saw that there was a 100% increase of the original cost. Mia tries on the dress anyway, and then has a complete breakdown, asking herself how she could possibly afford to buy the dress.
Which pack of skittles will they choose?
Jimmy has a favorite kind of candy called "Skittles". He and his Mother Ashley go into the Candy shop, to see if there are any packs of Skittles.
The tropical pack costs 2 for $5.25 and the original pack for one of them costs $2.50. To figure out which one costs less, they multiply 2.50 by 2 and get 5. So they know that if they buy 2 packs of the original skittles, it will cost less.
In the end, Ashley buys her son Jimmy 2 packs of the original skittles, and then they go home and share them.
