George is telling Lennie to put the mouse on the ground. He ends ups yelling at him and telling him how his life would be so much better without him.
He than apologizes and Lennie begs him to tell him the story about the rabbits and how there gonna live their life after they save up enough money to buy a ranch.
George and Lennie get to the bunkhouse and are shown around by an old guy named Candy. They meet the owners son who wants to fight Lennie.
Curley's wife walks in the bunkhouse and gains Lennie's attention. George later yells at him about it.
"Carlson shoots Candy's dog who he's known since a puppy. While Slim "the prince of the ranch" offers him one of his newly born puppies."
George and Lennie talk about their dream. Candy offers to help as long as he can stay at the ranch with them.
