Bycatch is catching an ocean animal while fishing for another species. Hundreds of thousands of turtles get caught in fishing nets and lines left behind by fishermen. Though most bycatch deaths are accidental they are very serious. Sea turtles need to come to the water's surface to breath when they are caught in a line or net they drown unless rescued. This accident increases as fishing expands.

Climate change is an extreme chage in the atmosphere's weather. As our polar ice caps melt the ocean fills with more water. Over time the water covers the beaches in water. After a while, there will be no beaches for females to lay their eggs on.
