- Can you tell me about Functions?
- Functions are very easy to laern, let me explain, lets say you have these numbers (2,5) , (7,0) , (2,3) now you have to figure out if its a Domain or an Empty Set. Domain is a vocabulary word for Function, and the vocabulary word for Empty set is, Non-Function. So think of functions as people and birthdays, we can only have one B-day and 2 says he has two b-days so its an Empty set. Now what about these numbers, (6,7) , (1,0) , (8,0) as you can see 1 and 8 have the same y-value or b-day well its ok to have twins so this is called a Domain.
- Can you tell me about Graphs?
- Graphs are also easy to learn about, sometimes they can go all the way to 50. On a graph there is a y-axis and an x-axis in the middle is (0,0) or origon were both the axis meet. There are 4 quadrants Q:1 , Q:2 , Q:3 , and Q:4 it goes conterclockwise Q:3 is all negatives and Q:1 is positives and Q:2 , and Q:4 is both. negative and positive. Q1 would look like this {5,8) Q2 would look like this {-8,4) Q3 would look like this {-4,-2) Q4 would look like this {6,-9).
- Can you tell me about two-step Equations?
- Two-step equations are quite simple to solve and there always around us, a two-step equation looks like this 3x15=-9 and this is how you would solve it, you would draw a line straight down the equal sign and then circle your varible then you subtract 9 on both sides so 9-9 is 0 and 15-9 is 6 you draw a line under it then you do 3x diveded by 3 and thats 0 you then do 6 diveded 3 and thatll get you 2 so x=2.
