Storyboard Text

  • The Meeting of Virgil Byrnes
  • He's a scary dude.
  • What truly happened to Sarah Byrnes
  • Listen. She'll be coming right back. I'm only going to say this once. Don't you go trying to put your head together with Dale Thornton to figure out what happened to me.
  • Jody
  • Could you send down more towels, please? The wrestlers must have towels they need washed. What about basketball?
  • Chapter 6 "From across the ward I watch Virgil Byrnes sitting next to Sarah Byrnes on the couch, his eyes burning into the side of her head, teeth clenched so tight it looks like there's a marble below his jawbone." This is how Eric (Boy in orange) described the scene.
  • The Truth
  • (Reading note) I can't ever go home again. My dad is getting even crazier, and like I said the other day, there's nothing too mean for him to do if he thinks he needs to.
  • Chapter 9 Sarah first talks to Eric after going to the hospital, but only to warn him not to try anything.
  • Mr. Mautz
  • I'm not pleased with what I saw in here yesterday, nor with what I've heard about what goes on in here. A sensitive boy.....
  • Chapter 10 Eric talks to Mrs. Lemry to get advice on whether he should pursue Jody who has a boyfriend, but says she doesn't like him. Although further on in the chapter Mark (old boyfriend) warns Eric that she's a liar and will leave him. Eric decides to wait and see.
  • The Talk
  • Eric: "I don't know where she's staying." Mr. Mautz: "Mr. Byrnes doesn't believe that's true."
  • Chapter 11 Sarah Byrnes decided to trust Eric and finally tell him she can't go back home because her father will beat and question her since she seems to be hiding something from him and he's catching on quickly.
  • Chapter 14 Mr. Mautz confronted Mrs. Lemry about Marks attempt at suicide to be her fault when she says it was not her nor, any of the other students fault that he wanted to take his own life. Everyone throughout the chapter blames his attempts on themselves instead of Mark.
  • STOP!!
  • Chapter 15 During this chapter Virgil Byrnes goes to the school to be able to talk to Eric and be able to find his daughter for who knows what reason. During the conversation shown Eric admits he knows where she is, but he said afterwards he won't tell them.
