Maybe we shouldn't have had a Civil War, but I'm King so I can do what I want.

The judge said that Charles Stuart was a traitor who waged war against Parliament and that he was a murderer and an enemy of the people of England. Charles 1 thought that he shouldn't be on trial so refused to plea.
