Storyboard Text

  • By: Adam D'Souza, Period 1
  • James, get down from there right now. You're being rowdy again.
  • Don't talk back to a teacher. The principal will see you to give you five swats.
  • How am I being rowdy?
  • Hold him down please!
  • OWWWWWW! I was only supposed to get 5 swats, not 20!!!!
  • Yes. I'll hold him down.
  • Don't worry James. This violates your Eighth Amendment, we're going to sue your school.
  • What happened James?
  • The principal beat me for no reason and know I have bruises all over!!!
  • The Eighth Amendment protects criminals from excessive punishments, not students who misbehave. Therefore, we have decided to side with the Wright School District.
  • WHAATTTT!!!??
  • Corporal punishment is still legal 19 states. Teachers in those states can discipline students, but not severely and with moderation.
