  • Some things I've learned about Switzerland is to avoid being loud and over dramatic. Also let's try and be on time, a funny Switzerland stereotype is that they are a country of clock makers.
  • Here are some things to know about Switzerland; they are the closest country in the world to have a direct democracy where citizens may challenge any law voted by the federal assembly. Switzerland's executive, judicial and legislative institutions are organized on federal, cantonal and communal levels.
  •  Switzerland is a Christian country. Around two-thirds of the population are either Roman Catholic or Protestant (Reformed-Evangelical). 38.2% of the Swiss population are Roman Catholic. The main languages spoken in Switzerland are; French, German, Italian, and Romansh.g
  • Ulrich "Ueli" Maurer is a Swiss politician serving as President of the Swiss Confederation since the 1st of January 2019. A member of the Swiss People's Party, he has been a member of the Swiss Federal Council since 2009. The current population of Switzerland is 8.556 million. The landlocked country of Switzerland is a diverse mic of people with different languages spoken right across the nation. The general perception is that Switzerland is a relatively small territory. 
  • Switzerland's top exports are;  gold,packaged medicament's, jewelry, cars, and human / animal blood. Their top exports to other countries are; Germany, the United States, China, India, and Hong Kong.
  • Granite, limestone, other building stones, and salt are the only abundant mineral resources with commercial value. Small deposits of iron and manganese ores also are found. About 11 percent of Switzerland’s land is used for agriculture, while another 30 percent is covered by forests.
  • Temperatures vary a lot by season, location and elevation. Still, Switzerland’s country may be classified as mild. But It is strongly influenced by the relatively nearby Atlantic. Winds from the Atlantic transport moist and mild maritime air into Switzerland. This results in a relatively mild climate. On average, the areas north of the Alps are cooler than the areas south of the Alps. South facing slopes receive more sunshine and are warmer than north facing slopes.
  • 1 United State’s dollar, equals 0.99 Swiss Franc. The Switzerland Inflation Rate for 2018 was 0.94%, a 0.4% increase from 2017. The Switzerland Inflation Rate for 2017 was 0.53%, a 0.97% increase from 2016. The Switzerland Inflation Rate for 2016 was -0.43%, a 0.71% increase from 2015. The Labor Force, total in Switzerland was reported at 4,916,61 in 2017, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources.
