Storyboard Text

  • This is an outrage! I don't want my customers to be taxed on my wheat and other luxuries!
  • I think I will join the "Whiskey Boys." I will also turn my wheat into whiskey so I can sell it and protest these taxes by not paying them.
  • This way I can sell my wheat successful. And then I will make money and keep my customers.
  • I, Alexander Hamilton, believe that you should crush the rebels as they are a threat to the government.
  • I, Thomas Jefferson, believe that you should not send an army out to deal with the rebels as it is against people's basic liberties.
  • I need your advice on this matter. I do not know what to do.
  • For what? To capture twelve people and convict two?! This is madness!
  • Very well I shall send 13,000 men out to capture these rebels.
  • And thus the whiskey rebellion ended. Twelve people were killed and 2 were convicted only to be pardon later. The farmer's customers were taxed on the sale of their wheat so they turned it into whiskey. They refused to pay their taxes and tarred and feathered tax collectors.
