The furthest hole so far is the kola super deep hole at 1
Lets go to the centre of the Earth yet

Yes! because ther are many layers
There are two parts to the crust, the continental crust, the crust part that we live in, it is less dense and contains some of the oldest rocks ever found and the oceanic crust , the 'sea crust' it is quite thin at 6-11km, it is more dense.
Its quite hot in here, thankfully we have protective suits
First layer to get through is the crust!
The crust is solid and makes up less than 1% of the earth and is 30-50 km wide so this will be the quickest!
There are two parts to the mantle, the upper and lower mantle
The next layer we have to go through is the mantle!
The mantle is 2,900 km thick! and makes up 84% of the earth. It is made up of semi-molten rock (magma). The temperature can range from 500- 900 degrees
It is a magma like liquid layer that surrounds the Inner Core and creates Earth's magnetic field
This layer is called the outer core
The outer core is liquid and 5,100 km thick. It is made out of iron and nickel, the temperature ranges from 4400 on the outside to 6100 degrees in the middle!
last stop is the inner core
Unlike the outer core this layer is solid. Its also made out of iron and nickel and is 6,378 km thick. The inner core is known as the Earths engine room
