  • No, I will not help you get of this Island. You must suffer the consequences of your crime

  • In this scene they are trying to bride the caption to help them escape. "Several times he tried by bribery to get away one of the vessels sailing from Crete , King Minos kept strict watch over them and no ships were allowed to sail without being carefully searched"  Line 6-9

  • In this scene, they are flying away from the island with wings that Daedalus made. "Icarus. my son, we are about to make our flight. No human being has ever traveled through air before..." Line  41-43

  • In this scene Icarus is falling from the sky because the heat softened the wax. " The blazing sun beat down on the wings and softened the wax... he fluttered his wing, but no feathers remained to hold him in the air." Lines 70- 78

  • In this scene Daedalus is burying his son, Icarus. " Weeping bitterly, he buried his small son and called the land Icaria in his memory ." Lines 86-87
  • In this scene Daedalus builds a temple in honor of the god, Apollo, and hang up his wings as an offering and in the wings are feathers he found in the spot where Icarus fell. " He arrived safely in Sicily, where he built a temple to Apollo and he hung his wings as a offering to the god and in his wings he pressed a few feathers he found floating in the spot where Icarus fell" Lines 90-93
