  • Japan Colonization & Imperialism
  • We want more land!!!
  • U.S. Oil & Steel Embargo On Japan
  • Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, And The Surprise Attack
  • Japan wanted resources and land from other countries but the only way to get them was to attack Pearl Harbor. 
  • U.S.S. Arizona 
  • The U.S embargo ended the trade of oil and steel with Japan. Japan no longer had access to the oil and steel they used in their military. 
  • FDR  "The Day Which Will Live In Infamy" 
  • This is the day which will live in infamy!
  • The people at Pearl Harbor did not expect to be attacked. Japan used weapons in the water and in the air to attack Pearl Harbor. 
  • Japanese Camps
  • The U.S.S. Arizona was one of the two ships that was attacked. The ship could not have been fixed and is still in the water at Pearl Harbor.
  • FDR's quote "The day which will live in infamy," refers to the day that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
  • The Japanese camps forced all Japanese-Americans to leave their homes, jobs, and friends to go live in camps that were protected by the U.S. military.
