The treacherous instrument is in thy hand, Unbated and envenomed. The foul practice Hath turned itself on me. Lo, here I lie, Never to rise again. Thy mother’s poisoned. I can no more. The king, the king’s to blame.
Finally, after much indecisiveness and inaction, Hamlet stabs Claudius and forces him to drink the poisoned wine. Before dying, Hamlet declares the throne will pass to Prince Fortinbras .
But I do prophesy the election lights On Fortinbras. He has my dying voice. So tell him, with th' occurrents, more and less, Which have solicited. The rest is silence.
