  • Hello everybody I am here to tell you about scribes hope you enjoy.
  • Scribes are pretty high on the social pyramid they are a level below priests. Scribes were Eygpts Official writers and record holders.
  • They were also very respected and well paid.
  • Schools were run by priests. Kids usually came from artisan or merchant families. Kids started at the age of five. They spent 12 years learning hieroglyphs ad had to memorize over 700 hieroglyphs.
  • Scribes did not have a very easy life. Kids usually got beat or punished for being lazy or not paying attention in school. Beatings were very common. 
  • Scribes were about in the middle of the social pyramid and were important to the Egyptian culture.
