Storyboard Text

  • The Monsters are Due on Maple Streetby Isabella Logsdon
  • Setting- A quiet street of many neighboors outside having a nice day. Characters- Steve Brand polishing his car, Don Martin watching him, Tommy a young boy buying ice cream, and many other families enjoying the nice day.
  • Suddenly a sound of a boom and a flash of light it is suddenly later in the evening. The neighboors are all coming out of their homes to the sudden to roar. Could it be a meteor? No one knows what it really is.
  • The problem is, NOTHING will turn on. Not the radio, car, TV, electricity, phone, etc. Pete, a neighbor is leaving to see if they have electricity the next street over. Tommy, the young boy says he knows exactly what is happening. He thinks the monsters don't want them to leave because he read it in a story.
  • Les Goodman is the only person who can get his car started. All the neighbors accuse him and his family of being the unknown things that landed. They say they're in disguise. Later on the people see a figure from the distance walking towards them and Charlie is worried so he shoots the figure. It was Pete!! He thought he was one of the monsters!!
  • Tommy is accused by everybody HE is the one who is causing all these problems and he is an unknown creature. He and his mother run away. Next- we see one of the figures that landed and he has someone else and what they do is go to one street, shut down all the things, mess with the people and make everyone turn on each other! The worst enemy is actually each other!
