Storyboard Text

  • "As president of the United States, I declare that this war is a win."
  • "After the war I was seen as a national hero. Then the Republicans nominated me for president and boy was I satisfied."
  • "Get out of our TURF!"
  • Abraham Lincoln, who was the 16th president of United States, took part in the Union. Abraham Lincoln was one of the many political leaders during the Civil War. As Lincoln successfully protected the nation.
  • "Let's go union!"
  • Military leadership was seen in the Union side during the Civil War. Ulysses S. Grant was victorious after the Civil War. As he then became the 18th president, of the United States of America.
  • "I have no idea."
  • The military strategy for the union was the Anaconda Plan. This plan was to use a blockade on the Southern coasts. The Southern coasts wouldn't have access to the waterway, which means that they won't be able to trade. As a result, the union was trying to capture the Southern capital, (Richmond VA) and take control of the Mississippi River.
  • "Where are we going General?"
  • An advantage was military power. A five to two advantage of men in the military who could attack. A navy was then created as well as war machinery.
  • Another advantage was industrialized power. As more factories were being developed for clothing and other necessities. And railroads were created for faster transportation.
  • One disadvantage was that the union were fighting in unfamiliar territory. Since most of the Northerners have never been in the South. There was also lack of communication as well as long supply lines.
