Natural Resources: Oil Spill
This storyboard does not have a description.
One day I went on vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii to see different fish and turtles. I was also planning on going on a cruise.
A tour guide guided me through the island. I was looking into the water seeing if I could spot some type of fish but actually, I saw a big brown spot floating on top of the water.
At first I didn't know what it was but then I realized it was a ton of oil! I was angry because there are a lot of birds and fish and it can damage them or even kill them.
I cleaned it off!
I was on the cruise by then and I saw a turtle with some type of plastic wrapped around it. But even worse I saw a goose with oil all around it and it wasn't able to fly.
I had to think of a way to help it, so, I went inside and called the front desk and asked if someone would come down and get the pelican to wash it off. I was waiting there for 15 minutes keeping an eye on it waiting for someone to come rescue it.
Someone finally came and climbed a ladder into the water and had a tub to put it in. I felt better after I saw someone rescue it and I felt good about myself and if I helped then you can too!
