We used to be water vapor, now we are liquids again.
Down we go
Evaporation is when liquid water turns into a gas because of being heated up by the sun. This has a cooling action on its environment. Transpiration is just like evaporation, but it happens off of leaves.
Time to go back to the ocean we came from
Condensation is when water in a gas form turns into water in a liquid form. This transition in state has a warming affect on the environment.
Precipitation is when water falls as a liquid or a solid from the atmosphere in forms like rain, snow, sleet, or hail .
The Cycle Cycles Again
Here we go again
Runoff is water that falls on surfaces of the Earth without penetrating it. this water usually runs off to lakes, streams, or eventually the ocean.
Infiltration is when the ground allows water to travel into the Earth. Then, the water in the ground usually either supplies plants with water or finds it way back to oceans, reservoirs, lakes, and rivers.
The ocean is great
Home Sweet Home
Water moves in a cycle, so natrully it has to start again. runoff and other water on the earth gets evaporated like before and begins the cycle again.
