  • King Louis the XIV palace 
  • King Louis and Marie Antoinette (Stage 1)
  • Estates general 
  • King Louis XIV builds chateau at Versailles in 1680. He was king of France from 1643 until 1715.
  • Third estate wants to meet on the tennis (stage 2)
  • king Louis and Marie Antoinette both lived a rich lifestyle. Also his army fought some expensive wars. 
  • Oath of the tennis court (stage 3)
  • They changed the name of the estates general to the national assembly. They change the name because It did not have do with the different social classes in France. 
  • Storming the Bastille  (stage 4)
  • The estates general was composed of nobles and Church people. 
  • The third estate and the Church leaders were the ones who changed the name of the estates general to the national assembly and declared right on the tennis court.
  • The people who stormed the Bastille was a mob of angry people. They stormed and captured the Bastille on July 14th. That is when the revolution truly started.
