In the year of 1929, when Rosa Parks was in the 11th grade, Rosa attended a laboratory for secondary education which was led by Alabama state Teachers college but unfortunately. she had to leave because her mother became very ill.

In 1932, Rosa became a seamstress and met her husband Raymond Parks who was an active member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored people.

Shortly after Rosa and her husband got married, Raymond helped Rosa earn her high school degree.
In 1943, Rosa became involved in the Civil rights issues by joining the Montgomery NAACP.
