  • Mom: When it was about in the 1830s there was an act called The Indian Removal Act. I was part of the Cherokee Tribe. I was one of the main Five Tribes.
  • Mom: We had to grab all of our relevant clothes, food, and items we needed. Daughter: That's sad. THEY HAD TO EMIGRATE SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!
  • Daughter: Why did they have this Indian Removal Act mom? Mom: The Indian Removal Act was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830.The president to grant unsettled lands west of the Mississippi in exchange for Indian lands within existing state borders. A few tribes went peacefully, but many resisted the relocation policy.
