The safety of Hrothgar's kingdom returned to the hands of Beowulf following the attacks of Grendel's mother. Beowulf was to challenge the beast in her den underwater.
I will protect your kingdom against this beast. It is my duty and I will do it by myself.
After a tough battle, Beowulf was able to defeat the beast. Additionally, he decapites Grendel's head and leaves with his men to Herot Hall.
I am the greatest soldier of all times. No beast could measure up to me.
After 50 years of peace, King Beowulf has a new opponent, the Dragon. Beowulf is unable to defeat the dragon and dies in the battle. A loyal soldier named Wiglaf stayed to slay the dragon and ulitimately becomes King of the Geats.

The geats gather in Beowulf's funeral where he is buried with the treasure overlooking the sea. Beuwolf dies a hero.
