Storyboard Text

  • Is that a dagger I see before me? Is that blood on thy blade? 
  • This is a sign, I must kill the king!
  • The deed is done, Duncan is dead!
  • Macbeth doesn't know whether he is seeing a dagger or he is hallucinating. Then, he sees blood dripping from the blade. 
  • Oh horror! Murder has entered the God temple, see for yourselves!
  • The king was murdered in our home? 
  • Macbeth thinks the bloody dagger is a sign he must murder Duncan, in order for him to be king.
  • Your royal father was murdered. 
  • Those of his chamber. 
  • By whom?
  • Macbeth murders the king. 
  • We must leave now to be safe! I'll go to England.
  • We must separate, I'll go to Ireland.
  • Macduff enters the king's room and sees that he's dead. He tells the news, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth pretend to be shocked. 
  • Macduff tells the horrible news to his sons, Duncan and Donalbain. 
  • Malcolm and Donalbain plan to escape to England and Ireland. They think it will be safer, they don't trust anyone.
