  • Hooning refers to the act of using a vehicle in an irresponsible and dangerous manner in public places.
  • 95% of people hooning tend to hoon on public streets roads, which they are most likely making loud noises or causing any unnecessary smoke.
  • 80.5% of vehicles involved in  hooning offences, are in common vehicles such as station wagons. Hooning offences  do  not occur in modified street  machines, but rather in common vehicles such as Holden  Commodores and Ford Falcons.

  • Most occasions of hooning most commonly happen on a Thursday and a Sunday, with this information known, the police are able to crack down on more hooning events and slowly put a stop to hooning.
