  • Ashley and Jamal continue the subject after class.  After school Ashley takes Jamal to a place where the affects of human activities has changed the environment.
  • Do you ever this about how our activities affect the environment?
  • No, i actually haven't, could you tell me?
  • When people bring in exotic plants or animals into a place where they do not belong or are not from that region it slowly but surely starts to take over and destroy the natural resources. In the late 1700s, new waves of settlers started to arrive in Hawaii. These people did not seem to understant the limits of the island's ecosystems, importing exotic plants and animals
  • That ain't  cool man, people need to clean up.
  • This is a popular beach used by the locals. As you can see they don't take very good care of it though.
  • These people did not seem to understand the limits of the island's ecosystems, importing exotic plants and animals
  • The settlers began to change the island even more. They were tearing down the forests on the island. The settlers needed a way of income so they used the island's beauty to attract tourist and are still continuing to alter the island's environment.
  • But there are parts of the island that are not ruined nor touched by man and also they are protected so no one could tear them down!
  • WOW! Thanks ashley, that was some good information. I didnt kno all the damage we could do to a place.
  • Anytime pal!
