Storyboard Text

  • In History Class I have been learning about Civil Rights
  • You know we are lucky
  • Why do you say that?
  • During the 1960's we could not eat in a cafeteria like this with other races.
  • What do you mean? I would like to know more.
  • People like Thurgood Marshall, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks were part of the movement.
  • And how did they do that?
  • They helped influence court cases like Brown v. Board of Ed in Topeka
  • How did they influence a change?
  • They organized marches, protests and boycotts to help bring awareness and create change.
  • Man I wish I was around back then I would have done the same.
  • HEY GUYS! Don't forget Women Got the Right to Vote in 1920!
  • That was also part of the Civil Rights Movement.
  • Hey, I am going to learn more about this, Thanks.
  • Yeah, we need to appreciate those leaders a bit more.
