sure, no problem ma'am.
I'm back now, shall we proceed our unfinished conversation?
yes that's right, ma'am. The mathematical model written in the board is representing the previous company 's profit.
-x²+80x1500=o
as you proposed earlier, we have to determine our target number of magazines to be sold in order to avoid the previews negative profit...
we have to use that mathematical model, where x is the magazines to be sold. In other words we're going to find the value of x.
-x²+80x1500=o
so how now, eh??
using that model -x²+80x1500=o, we're going to use factorization, that would result to x=30 and x=50
-x²+80x1500=o
how to find the value of x, then??
in substituting the 30 and 50 to the factorial method ....
we're going to get (-1000) and (-5000). But our goal is to have a positive profit.. What now?..
don't worry, ma'am. Multiplying both negatives will result to a positive 5000000. That's why the value of x is 50 and 30.
that's terrific!! indeed a good work, mister Sandsman...
