  • 1. Exposition
  • 2. Rising Action
  • Doodle, get up! Don't you want to learn how to walk?
  • 3. Climax
  • Brother, Brother, don't leave me! Don't leave me!
  • Doodle is born with disabilities, and no one thought he was going to survive for long. The narrator hated that he had a different brother.
  • 4. Falling Action
  • As Doodle grows up, the narrator trains him to be able to do normal things like walking, swimming, and fighting. However, Doodle is being pushed too hard and has trouble with such actions.
  • 5. Resolution
  • When Doodle and the narrator come back from training, a harsh storm occurs. Due to Doodle's ineptitude, the narrator leaves him for dead.
  • 6. Conflict
  • Come on, Doodle, get up and be normal!
  • The narrator goes back to look for Doodle.
  • Doodle? Doodle!
  • The narrator finds Doodle dead. Doodle dies from overexertion, and the narrator feels guilty for his actions.
  • This conflict is man versus man because Doodle is constantly pushed around by his brother.
