  • The narrator loved the old man. He had never wronged him. He had never insulted him, but his eye he had a eye of a vulture.
  • We can not trust the narrator
  • He has been watching the old man while he sleeps every night because the eye bothers him. His eye bothered him so much that wanted to kill him. So he did, he cut off the head,and the arms and legs..
  • We can not trust the narrator
  • The officers come to search the premises because of a call they got from the neighbor. The narrator wasn't worried that he would get caught. Then he started to feel like they knew he killed the man so he just confessed
  • The narrator thinks that killing someone is bad. -"...in the wild audacity of my own seat upon the very spot beneath which had the corpse of they victory."
  • The narrator stalks the old man every night at midnight -"And every night, about midnight, I turned the latch of the door."
  • The narrator gives away what he trys to hide
