  • Proctor has is deposition and he turns in his paper with 91 signatures saying that Elizabeth, Martha and Rebecca are good people and not witches. It is ironic because those 91 people are trying to help but now may be arrested.

  • The bird appears when Abigail claims it's Mary's and it is hurting the girls and it is a symbol of vengeance. Abigail starts talking to it as if it is Mary and repeats everything Mary says. Then, Mary joins the girls and starts screaming at Proctor to stop touching her.
  • Elizabeth's testimony is ironic becasue they question her about Proctor's affair and to save him from the court she says no, little does she know he already confessed and this will end up getting him in more trouble.
  • Hale quits the court because he feels that the people of of Salem are lying and he believes Proctor. He also feels Abigail and the other girls are making it seem like they are not guilty when they have done wrong.
