  • Hi, I am Syd the Zebra, I am your tour guide today and will show you how carbon connects us all.
  • This tree is a plant, which is a part of the cycle. It starts out by absorbing carbon dioxide molecules from the atmosphere., like these. It is food for plants, made during photosynthesis.
  • Then, the carbon from the plant transfers to herbivores like me when I eat them like this. This cycle continues if, a carnivore eats me.
  • Also, the carbon will exit my body, back into the atmosphere, when I breath out like this
  • Another way the carbon will exit is into the ground when I digest like this or when this tree dies, over time, it will turn into fossil fuel.
  • Machines like this use the fossil fuel from the ground and then output more carbon into the atmosphere.
