"What is happening?! Why was there a gun in my hand? I am so scared."
Trying to Return to Prime
"Callie...don't...don't go back...Prime. Can you hear? You cannot return...it's dangerous...Extremely dangerous..."
In this scene, Callie goes on a date with Blake because she needs him to help her pass on a message to Micheal and Tyler. She does not plan to develop feelings for him, however as their date progresses, she is finding herself really liking Blake.
After saying goodbye to Blake, Callie completely blanks out and the next thing she knows, she is in a her renter's bedroom holding a gun. Callie has no idea what had happened and why a gun is in her hand. She makes the decision that she has to return to Prime Destinations because this situation is turning into something dangerous.
As Callie tries to return back to Prime, she hears the voice again and it is saying that she cannot return. Callie is more confused than ever on what to do. I chose this scene as significant because I enjoyed how the author chose to have a drastic turn of events out of nowhere. Everything was going well, and then, out of nowhere, something bad happens. As the reader, I was not expecting this and that is what makes this book fun to read.
