- Hi sis, today in school we learnt a new interesting story,'The Boy with a Catapult'
- Hi bro, Oh nice. What is the story about? I would love to hear the story from you.
- This is a story of a boy name Bodh Raj. He was the oddest boy in the school. All kids were afraid of him. He was utterly callous. He had a catapult in his hands and was very vindictive.
- OMG!!!
- Due to promotion, narrator's father had to shift to outskirts of city. Bodh Raj was the only one who like the place as he found it similar to a hunting ground.
- Oh, what's next.
- Narrator's mother was not happy with having Bodh Raj as a friend. But as narrator was lonely and needed company, she accepted the friendship. The next day as his mom said, he took Bodh Raj to the storeroom to remove the nest without killing the birds
- I'm excited.
- Bodh Raj saw the birds and identified them as Ganga Mynahs. He attacked and the pebble hit iron sheet of the roof. Next it hit and bits of cotton and few straws fell. Suddenly, a large kite flew across. Bodh Raj aimed to hit the Kite. Bodh Raj was concerned about the little ones.
- What happens next?.
- Intelligently, Bodh Raj saved the little ones. He then kept them in a safer place, gave them some water. That day the narrator's perception about Bodh Raj changed. The next day when Bodh Raj came, he didn't have the catapult nor pebbles instead he had bought grains for the birds.
- It is wrong to judge person by her/his or behavior. The inherent nature of a person in revealed in crisis situations.
