DON'T: Wake up late. Waking up late can ruin your whole day. Make sure to set your alarms early enough for you to be able to complete your whole morning routine, and so you're not late to school.
DON'T: Miss the bus. Missing the bus is every eighth grader's fear. Missing the bus can result in being late for class, and when you're late for class you don't get exempted for not being there, which goes towards your percentage of time not in class. So just don't miss the bus and you'll be fine.
DON'T: Be late for classes. Being late for class is a big deal. When teachers do hallway sweeps you could get sent to ASR. You don't want to get a detention or stay back because you were always late to classes.
DO: Be prepared for class. Being prepared for class can save you a whole speech. When you're an eighth grader, and you're missing your stuff, its like the world comes crashing down. Just bring your things to class.
DO: Pay attention in class. Paying attention in class can get you the grades you need to pass. Eighth grade is full of surprises in academics so just pay attention to the teacher and take notes on the lessons, and you'll pass Eighth grade with flying colors.
DO: Stay with a close group of friends. Having a good group of friends is exactly what an eighth grader needs. Eighth grade where you start to focus on high school and that's when you might lose some of your friends. So enjoy everyday with them because friends are important.
