  • Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury England.
  • On January 16, 1832, Charles Darwin lands on the tropical shore of St. Jago. He uses field notebooks to record his findings.
  • In 1846, Charles Darwin publishes Geological Observations On South America. He begins to work on barnacles in October of the same year.
  • Charles Darwin publishes many volumes on barnacles and begins full time work on species in 1854.

  • In 1863, Charles Darwin falls seriously ill. His poor health continues for 3 more years
  • In 1864, Charles Darwin receives the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London, it's highest scientific award
  • In 1870, Charles Darwin spends his entire year working on his new book called Descent of Man.
  • Charles Darwin dies on April 19th, 1882 at 73 years old. He was buried in Westminster Abbey.
