From Hunters And Gathers to farmers: Developing New Jobs
The most important thing to the Paleolithic people was hunting and gathering to have a better food supply so they could survive.
In Catal Hoyuk, we had many different jobs. Besides farming there was building, toolmaking, weaving, trading, and basket making.
We decorated pottery and polished stones because we wanted our surroundings to be pretty.
It was important because we could get more done with more people having jobs. Different jobs added more variety to life in the community.
Over time,we learned that we could stay and build permanent shelters because we were able to build a stable food supply. We also communicated and could build larger communities by learning jobs and then trading with others.
