The Monsters are due on Maple Street Theme:There are weapons simply thoughts
In the episode,The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, there are a many scenes which people accuse another person because they just want to find a scapegoat and find the solution of the problem in the story and return back to normal. The people of Maple Street keep trying to find a scapegoat among the group, but they are wrong every time and they never find the monster because they continue thinking it could be one of them. At first they think it is Les Goodman because his car starts up by itself and he looks up at the sky at night. With very little evidence everyone thinks it is Les, but they allow their imagination to get the better of them. Then they think Steve is the monster because he has been working on a radio that no one has ever seen. Once again they have no evidence and they resort to what they think is the truth about how Steve could be the alien. They also accuse Charlie because his house lights turn on when no one else has lights and because he blindly killed Pete Van Horn. They really think it is him and start throwing rocks at him and one hits a light in a glass cage and it shatters and glass hits Charlie. Charlie then thinks it is Tommy, the little boy, and everyone realizes that he knew what would happen. He and his mother flee and everyone goes after them. The street is then thrown into utter chaos because everything turns on and off. Then the camera pans to where the real aliens are on a cliff watching the street in chaos below. They discuss how the whole world is full of Maple Streets with similar comes then they go into their spaceship. This evidence shows that weapons can be imagination and thoughts. Even when presented with the truth the characters rely on what the their imagination leads them to believe and what their minds conjure up rather than what is real.
Evidence One: Les is standing all by himself being accused of being the alien and no one to back him up and prove that he isn't.
Evidence Two: Steve is accused for being an alien because he is working on a radio that no one has seen and there is only his wife to help prove everyone wrong.
Evidence Three: Everyone thinks it is Charlie because he killed Pete Van Horn because they thought Pete learned what happened to all the power.
