Sergeant-major Morris, come inside and we will sit by the fire.
I swear I just saw a face in the fire!
Let him in! Its Herbert!
Sergeant-Major Morris and the White's begin talking about the curse of the monkey's paw. The White's invite him into their house to talk about the monkey's paw even more. The Sergeant was talking about how it had three wishes and to choose very wisely.
One night the White's were sitting by the fire and Mr. White saw a face of some kind. He started to freak out just a little bit. Mr. White did not believe the Sergeant when he told them about the monkey's paw. Now after what just happened he is starting to believe him and is getting scared.
One night Mr. White made a wish to bring his son back since he died in an accident ten days ago. Then Mrs. White heard a knocking on the door and Mrs. White thought it was Herbert, their son. She started screaming "It's Herbert" and Mr. White said it was not Herbert. It was not him because I think Mr. White used his third wish to make Herbert go away.
